Dental implants are typically made from titanium that is biocompatible. This material allows you to put the most amount of force on that implant with it being integrated properly into your body. 
A dental implant will have a dental crown placed on top of it so that it appears as if you have a natural tooth.

BENEFITS OF DENTAL IMPLANTS

The first phase of getting a dental implant is making sure you are a great candidate. Our dentists in Richardson, will take some radiographs and evaluate the area or areas that need implants. 
If you are a good candidate the dentist will place the implant along with bone graft.

The implant needs to heal for 3-6 months before too much pressure is placed on it. Once the implant has fully integrated into your bone we will place the custom abutment and crown. This combination of implant, abutment and crown make sure your teeth look as good as possible.

Once the implant and crown are placed you should show up to your regular cleaning visits so that we can maintain the health of your dental implant.
